WHAT CAT BREED IS IVY? & WHERE DID YOU GET HIM?

He is a bi-color Ragdoll. We got him from a breeder outside of Greenville, SC. Unfortunately, the breeder is no longer in operation. Fun Fact: His father was imported from Poland. I myself with a polish ancestry find it quite fitting that my cat happens to be Polish as well.

WHICH DOG BREEDER DID YOU USE TO GET KAILUA (KAI)?

Farmstead Kennels in Clements, MD. They usually have a long waitlist and I had to wait almost a year for a spot to become available. His father’s name is Simba and mother’s name is Trinity. Kai looks very similar to his father.

Currently, I reside in beautiful Boston. I have been fortunate to have lived in many different states coast-to-coast the past several years. Which has allotted me the opportunity to discover new neighborhoods, cultures, food, and adventure.

WHAT INSPIRED YOUR BLOG NAME?

I have a long history of loving art and fashion. I admire the arts, whether it involves strolling through an art gallery or creating my own mini masterpieces with watercolor or acrylic paints. This has translated into a passion for beauty and style. Make-up is a form of art to me. Style, whether in fashion or home decorating, expresses individuality and can cultivate visual interest.

When all these passions collide, it becomes the “Portrait of Style” blog.

WHO TAKES MY PHOTOS?

Although, I use professional photographers from time-to-time, my supportive husband Jake has been my main photographer. We have learned a lot together and continue to learn about photography, lighting, angles, and the best times to capture. I am proud of how much evolution we have had since the beginning years of this blog.
